2017 Nissan GT-R Track Edition Review

The 2017 Nissan GT-R Track Edition was released in early 2017. The car has performance that beats that of most supercars. The GT-R has received two very important updates which include engines with more power and improved aerodynamics. This makes it the coolest version so far.

The new track edition stands out due to slightly modified body components and a set of wheels that are new. The rear of the car has a carbon-fiber spoiler which is not standard in any market while the front has a wider bumper. German buyers will require paying an extra fee for these additional features while British buyers will require paying no fee. The vehicle has track lid made from carbon-fiber and 20-inch wheels that are forged from aluminum. The carbon fiber track lid is not necessary for any market but when chosen, it reduces weight most significantly. The 2017 Track Edition enjoys all upgrades introduced in the 2016 edition. These upgrades are inclusive of revised headlamps, new side skirts, V-motion grille, repositioned fog lamps, and slight changes to the rear fascia that enhance a sporty look.

Inside of the car, you will see a carbon fiber badge indicated “Track Edition” on the dashboard and seat backs made from carbon fiber and that are not standard in all the markets. The seat backs are in the German package but optional in the UK package.

Check this out; Germans don’t get the spoiler but get the seat backs while Brits have to pay an additional fee for seat backs but get a free spoiler. Weird, right?

Unlike the previous version, the 2017 Track Edition has rear seats. Therefore, adding weight to the car and making less of a cool sports car as compared to the 2016 Track Edition. However, the car has a NissanConnect touch-screen infotainment system that is 8 inches, paddle shifters that are new, updated instrument cluster, 11-speaker Bose audio system, and smartphone connectivity.
